He is a Chartered Engineer with an MBA and Engineering Degree with over 25 years experience working in the pump, turbine and compressor business, all of which has provided Lee with the leaderships skills and experience to drive the company forward.

She has an IOSH in managing safety and brings with her a breadth of experience in management and administration.

His passion for safety, quality and performance now underpins his work with Fenflow’s sales team, helping customers find the most reliable, cost-effective solutions for their operations.

Tina joined the team in 1989, originally working part time as an office clerk and then progressing to admin manager. Tina oversees the administrative operations and account invoicing, including processing payments and purchase orders.

Many of our workshop team have been with Fenflow Ltd for over twenty years and consists of 10+ Engineers, Machinists, Fitters, Technicians and Apprentices. Our ever-growing team have a wealth of experiance and areas of expertise and pride themselves on the quality of their workmanship. The workshop staff are fully trained to work both on and off site and our full time Machinists enables us to repair, overhaul and restore most pump and motor applications in house.

Mechanical Engineer / Fitter – Fenflow Limited

Summary & Main Purpose of Role

As an experienced Engineer/Fitter at Fenflow Limited, you will deliver high-quality service to our customers, with a strong focus on industrial pumps, safety valves, electric motors and gearboxes, prioritising safety, technical excellence, and reliability. This role involves a mix of workshop and site work. 

You’ll work across a variety of customer sites from drainage and water facilities to power stations and food manufacturing, providing technical expertise while maintaining strong customer relationships. Health and safety is a priority, both on-site and in the workshop.


Key Tasks & Accountabilities

  • Service, inspect, overhaul, and commission industrial pumps and safety valves in line with good engineering practice.

  • Carry out preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and planned inspections.

  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, rebuilds, and full installations in both the workshop and on customer sites.

  • Work with a wide variety of pump types, including centrifugal and positive displacement.

  • Undertake electrical fault-finding and basic electrical work associated with pumps, motors, and control equipment.

  • Produce detailed documentation to include service reports, fault logs and inspection reports.

  • Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and engineering manuals as required.

  • Observe and promote health & safety procedures at all times.

  • Participate in the on-call rota (approx. 1 in 4 weeks) providing urgent support to contracted customers, (on-call payments apply).


Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience stripping down, rebuilding, and maintaining industrial pumps and/or safety valves.

  • Experience with land drainage or water management pump systems is highly desirable.

  • Confident working both in a workshop and on-site at a variety of customer locations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.

  • Commitment to health & safety and adherence to safe practices at all times.

Must Have

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Proven experience as a skilled engineer/fitter, ideally with:

    • Industrial pumps

    • Safety valves and mechanical systems

    • Diagnosing, stripping down, and rebuilding mechanical assemblies using industry best practice

  • Confident working both in a workshop and on customer site

  • Excellent communication skills and professional, customer-focused attitude


Desirable Experience / Qualifications

  • HNC or other engineering qualification.

  • Time-served mechanical or electrical apprenticeship.

  • CCSNG.

  • Confined space training.

  • Experience across power stations, water, or drainage sites.


Additional Position Requirements

  • Flexible and able to work outside normal hours, including evenings and weekends for urgent breakdowns.

  • Able to adapt to varying site conditions and work effectively with colleagues and contractors.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 – 16:00

  • Friday: 7:30 – 15:00

  • 30-minute unpaid lunch

We are looking for a Business Administration Apprentice, this is an entry-level position that offers an opportunity for growth and development within our organisation.  The successful candidates will undertake a Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship, participating in a wide range of administrative tasks to meet the requirements of the course and the business. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills and the dedication to learn and complete their apprenticeship. 

What the role will involve:-

  • Answering the phone and directing enquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain and updated both physical and digital filing systems.
  • Purchasing items and keeping database up to date 
  • Dealing with suppliers and getting quotes/updating delivery dates 
  • Liasing with the sales team to organising deliveries to customers
  • Updating timesheets on the system
  • Input & update information in databases and spreadsheet, keeping records up to date
  • Assisting the Admin Team with day to day admin tasks.

Requirements

  • Level 4 & Above GCSE in Maths & English
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good Communication skills
  • Be keen to learn and develop skills  

Hours are 5 days a week 8:30 - 4: 30 with a 30 minute unpaid break

Driver / Handyman 


Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm (30-minute lunch)

  • Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm (30-minute lunch)

This role is ideally suited to a practical, hands-on individual who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and is happy to support and work as a team. No two days are the same, making this a great opportunity for someone who likes a mix of driving, maintenance, and general handyman duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and collect items to and from customer sites using company vans

  • Load and unload deliveries 

  • Complete delivery paperwork and delivery notes accurately

  • Check in delivered items and ensure correct booking in

  • General forklift driving

  • Carry out vehicle checks

Workshop & Building Maintenance

  • General building maintenance and minor repairs when required

  • Assist with site work when required (general assistance) 

  • General workshop housekeeping

  • Change LEV filters and complete checks 

  • Empty office and workshop bins 

  • Ensure pressure washer is put away and compressor is shut down correctly

Daily Duties

Morning Tasks

  • Unlock main gate and prepare the site for the day

  • Move vehicles out of the workshop

  • Empty office bins and vacuum office floors and mats

  • Replenish toilet rolls in office/workshop toilets

End of Day

  • Move vehicles back into the workshop

  • Ensure pressure washer is stored correctly

  • Shut down compressor

  • Lock all workshop doors and switch off lights

Stock Control

  • Order and maintain essential stock and consumables used during duties 

  • Check in/out laundry workwear and return items to lockers

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Carry out LEV checks

  • Annual ladder and first aid kit inspections

  • Monthly Vehicle Checks 

Ideally Suited for Candidates Who:

  • Enjoy Driving and a varied, hands-on role and are happy to support and be adaptable when needed

  • Are reliable, organised, and take pride in their work

  • Are comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  • Have a practical approach and good attention to detail

You Must: 

  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be confident and able to drive a wide range of vans and company vehicles

Ideally You Will:

  • Have a forklift licence (or be willing to undertake training)

  • Be physically able to load and unload vans, with lifting equipment provided where needed

  • Be comfortable completing basic paperwork such as delivery notes and stock checks

  • Have previous experience in a workshop, warehouse, maintenance, or similar environment (desirable, not essential)
