Steve joined Fenflow in 2023 as Workshop Manager, bringing 16 years’ experience in the engine and power generation sector. IOSH-qualified, he ensured projects were delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. In 2026, Steve became Sales Manager, where his passion for safety, quality, and performance now underpins his work with Fenflow’s sales team, delivering reliable, cost effective solutions tailored to customer needs, helping customers find the most reliable, cost effective solutions for their operations.

Tina has been a valued member of Fenflow for over 35 years, starting in 1989 as a part-time office clerk and progressing to Admin Manager. She now leads the administrative team, overseeing account invoicing, payments, purchase orders, and the setup of new jobs. With decades of experience, Tina ensures processes run smoothly and efficiently, providing customers with reliable, professional support at every stage of their projects.

Join Our Team: Sales Technician (Pumps & Valves) – Spalding

Are you a driven sales professional with experience in industrial pumps, valves, or mechanical engineering solutions? Ready to take the next step in your career with a respected, family run engineering company?

We are a well established engineering business based in Spalding, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Technician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands pump systems and enjoys combining technical knowledge with sales success.

The Role

You will play a key role in developing new and existing business across industrial pumps and valves, working closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions including repairs, overhauls, upgrades, and new installations.

This is a hands on technical sales role where you will be out in the field, on site, and in front of customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the pump and engineering sector
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across industrial and drainage markets
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess customer requirements
  • Prepare detailed quotations, technical proposals, and reports
  • Interpret tenders, create costings, and define project scope and terms
  • Negotiate and close sales opportunities
  • Provide technical advice on pumps, valves, and system performance
  • Act as the key link between customers, engineers, workshop, and directors
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline updates
  • Support marketing activity, trade shows, and industry events
  • Monitor sales performance and contribute to forecasting

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in pump sales, pump servicing, or industrial engineering sales (essential)
  • Strong understanding of pumps, valves, or mechanical systems
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to explain technical solutions in a clear, customer-focused way
  • Strong negotiation and closing ability
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage your own workload
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Full UK driving licence

We are looking for an organised and proactive Purchasing Clerk / Office Administrator to join our busy engineering and operations team.

This role would suit someone with experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics coordination, or office administration within an engineering, manufacturing, transport, construction, or industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Raising and processing purchase orders for parts and materials
  • Liaising with suppliers, chasing orders, and updating delivery dates
  • Maintaining purchasing records, spreadsheets, and filing systems
  • Answering incoming calls with a professional, friendly telephone manner
  • Managing emails and responding to routine enquiries
  • Providing reception cover and welcoming visitors
  • Liaising with sales and production teams to support deliveries
  • Updating internal systems and timesheets
  • Updating spreadsheets and maintenance records
  • Coordinating HIAB transport, lifting equipment, and collections/deliveries
  • Booking hotels and accommodation for engineers when required
  • General office and administrative support

About You

  • Previous experience in an office or administrative role (purchasing experience desirable)

  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Confident using email and telephone as primary communication tools

  • Well organised with good attention to detail

  • Friendly, professional, and able to work well as part of a small team

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)
