Director

Lee joined the company in 2017 as the General Manager and became the Director and Owner in 2020. He is a Chartered Engineer with an MBA and Engineering Degree with over 25 years experience working in the pump, turbine and compressor business, all of which has provided Lee with the leaderships skills and experience to drive the company forward.

Director

Sara joined the company in 2021, after leaving the NHS she now manages Human Resources, Marketing, Public Relations and assists the director with the day to day operations of the business. She has an IOSH in managing safety and brings with her a breadth of experience in management and administration.

Business Development Manager

Jason has been with Fenflow Ltd since January 2008, starting off as a fitter/welder he spent 9 years working on the shop floor before taking on a new challenge as a sales engineer and then becoming a Business Development Manager in 2022. He has completed an IOSH Managing Safely Certificate and applies his years of industry knowledge to help customers get the value and quality service they deserve.

Tendering & Sales Technician

Alex joined the Fenflow Limited team in 2023 and brings her experience in administration, customer service and communication. As a member of the sales and tendering team she deals with initial customer contact and is responsible for ensuring all tenders are handled in a timely manner and liaising with customers to answer technical and product questions. Alex has excellent administration and communication skills and supports both the Sales and Aftersales team.

Steve joined Fenflow Ltd in 2023 as the Workshop Manager. He has worked within the engine and power generation sector for the last 16 years as a production, training, and logistics manager. He brings a wealth of experience in dealing with all levels of business from shop floor to customers and suppliers. He has a passion for safety and quality which he instils within the team.

Tina joined the team in 1989, originally working part time as an office clerk and then progressing to admin manager. Tina oversees the administrative operations and account invoicing, including processing payments and purchase orders.

Frances joined the team in 2015 and in responsible for all purchases of materials, products and supplies, interacting with suppliers to obtain product specifications and prices. Frances also supports the admin manager with the day to day running of the office.

Summary & Main Purpose of Role

As a member of the Fenflow Limited team you will be expected to deliver a professional level of Service to our customers, with significant focus on safety and quality. You will also be expected to provide assistance to customers during the installation and commissioning, service and repair and maintenance of industrial Valves, Pumps, Weed Screen cleaners, Gearboxes and other general engineering equipment. You should have the ability to develop and manage good customer relationships through the provision of Technical Assistance and professional customer management by working to exceed the customers’ expectations.

Key Tasks & Accountabilities

  • Ensure equipment is inspected, overhauled/serviced and commissioned in line with good engineering practice and to the relevant standards.
  • The role will involve working both in our workshop and on customers’ sites, identifying faults, carrying out repairs & rebuilding equipment as necessary
  • Provide reports for any equipment overhauled both on site and in the workshop.
  • Whilst at site and in Fenflow facilities, observe health and safety procedures and policies.
  • Whilst at site, explore opportunities for Service growth, and ensure that the customer is aware of Fenflow Service and Workshop capabilities

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Mechanical, engineering or Fitter experience
  • Experience in stripping down mechanical assemblies into component parts, and rebuilding using best industry practices is essential.
  • You must be practically minded and be able to solve mechanical problems.

Qualifications

  • Time served Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship desired but not essential as training will be provided

Additional Position Requirements

  • Adapt to various site conditions
  • Communicate with and work with colleagues and contractors at site
  • You must be flexible & be prepared to work outside of normal hours as our work often involves servicing urgent breakdowns with overtime necessary in the evenings and at weekends.
  • Able to speak, read and write fluently in the English Language
  • Must hold a full driving license

What will the apprentice be doing?

·         Dismantle and inspection of customers equipment.

·         Cleaning, overhauling, and rebuilding of customers equipment

·         Repairing parts utilising hand & machine tools

·         Writing of inspection reports/recording condition of customers items.

·         Pressure testing of pumps and valves

·         Setting relief valves to operate at the correct pressure.

·         General housekeeping duties

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship standard.

Advanced Manufacturing Engineering level 3 qualification.

The apprentice will work mainly in the workshop at Spalding but may occasionally be required to work on site with strict supervision.

As part of the selection process an interview and assessments with an Apprenticeship Advisor will be required to ensure eligibility and entry requirements.

The successful apprentice will attend the College of West Anglia – King’s Lynn campus on day release over 3 years. This will include the relevant training of engineering practical skills and knowledge required to meet the criteria of the apprenticeship standard. Prior learning in engineering may be taken into consideration. On completion of the practical skills and knowledge, the apprentice will submit a work-based portfolio of evidence in preparation for the end point assessment.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

To become a full-time Mechanical Fitter technician with the opportunity to specialise fitting or machining.

Fenflow Limited are committed to ensuring our staff have the right skills, knowledge & experience to deliver the best service to our customers. We are growing our electrical and mechanical team to meet the ever-increasing needs of our expanding business.To help us achieve this we are looking for someone to join our current team who will work both in the workshop and on site. 

For this role we are looking for individuals that have both electrical and mechanical experience suitable for the role. In this role you will be carrying out the full repair of industrial pumps, motors, weed screens and control panels and therefore will include electrical tasks that include disconnection/re-connection of motors and pumps, fault finding, wiring of weed screen cleaners. .
